The lack of face-to-face interaction between government agencies and the people they serve
The internet has been a revolutionary technology that has helped millions of people, businesses, and government facilitate communications and has been a great tool when it comes to time management; however, I am a little sketchy when it comes to having an online community that only communicates news, ideas, etc directly with the government.
I strongly believe that the lack of face-to-face interaction between government agencies and the people they serve will end up causing miscommunication between the government and the people they serve.
.GOV is a sponsored top level domain registered to the US government. This means that anything that uses the .gov at the end of the domain is linked to the Government.
The government is going virtual and I think that we need to be careful with what the future holds as far as having an online government network, were decisions are discussed and voting is made.

I agree that the lack of face-to-face interaction between government agencies and people is to an extent, convenient but also risky. I am not a big fan of having to wait in long lines to take care of my government transactions but I also am not a big fan of identity theft. Some transactions I feel safer doing face-to-face and others, I will do over the internet without thinking twice about it. As time passes, more and more transactions take place over the internet and my insecurities about using the internet for any government transaction will be desensitized.
